Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the collection and drop off times for the Campervan Hire?

3pm collection & 11am drop off

    • Can we drink the water out of the tap?

No, it is housed in plastic containers so we recommend buying drinking water.  Use the tap water to wash hands and for washing up.

    • Why won't the kettle work, or the 3 pin plugs?

Check you are correctly connected to electric hook up (EHU) The 3 pin plugs, including kettle require too much electricity and are not supported by the solar.  If off grid, you can use the USEB chargers, and lights.  All of which run off the solar panel.  The gas hob can be used to cook meals and boil the 2nd kettle supplied.

    • What happens if we breakdown?

Breakdown is covered, there is a step by step instruction laminate in the top right cupboard above the cooker.

    • What happens if I have an accident?

Instructions are on the laminate in the top right cupboard above the cooker.  Your security deposit is equal to the excess of the insurance.

    • Why is there a Security deposit for Campervan Hire and the Experience days?

This is taken just before the wheel roll off the drive.  It covers the insurance excess incase of an accident.  If the trip goes without a hitch, the Security deposit is refunded after the wheels roll back on the driveway and the check in process is complete and satisfied.  It will be either £500 or £750 dependent on the outcome of your driving license check.

    • Can I bring my dog along if I hire the VW Campervan?

We are dog lovers too.  Small dogs should be fine, a super huge one might be a squeeze. The Campervan is compact, so let's talk before you commit

    • Is there a milage limit when we hire the VW Campervan?

Yes, 150 miles per day, however this is averaged out across your booking, so a 3 day booking is 450.  You could do 200 on day one and less on days 2 and 3.  If you go over the maximum there is an additional charge of 32p per extra mile.

    • Can I smoke or vape in the Campervan?

    • What fuel does the Campervan take?

It is diesel, it will be full when you leave, please fill him back up before you bring him back.

    • Must I clean the Campervan before I return it?

We are happy to wash and clean Bond following reasonable use before he goes out again to his next customer.  Please remove all your rubbish and belongings and no off road bog driving please.

    • What happens if I get a parking or driving offence whilst I am driving the Campervan?

Any convictions or charges for driving or parking offences during the duration of the booking are your sole responsibility.  If any come to us after the return date, and can be identified as occurring during your rental, we will forward them to you to satisfy.
